S K Basu, born on January 14, 1940, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree and served in the Local Self Government Department. His most recent position was Director from July 1, 1996, to January 31, 1998. Prior to this, he held the roles of Director and Additional District Magistrate. Throughout his career, Basu contributed to various administrative functions within his cadre before retiring from service.
