S I Jambunathan, born on May 1, 1938, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1961 Maharashtra cadre. A graduate in Mathematics, he has held various key positions including Secretary, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, Director, Commissioner & Secretary, General Manager, and District Collector. His extensive administrative experience spans roles such as Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary, and Assistant Collector. Most recently, he served as Chairman & Managing Director in the Commerce and Industry Department of Maharashtra. Throughout his career, Jambunathan contributed to the governance and development of Maharashtra until his retirement.
