S Ghosh, born on January 24, 1934, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 batch of the West Bengal cadre. He served as District Collector and Magistrate from June 1, 1990, to January 1, 1992. His most recent role was Director of Census Operations in the Land Revenue Department. Throughout his career, he held positions including Joint Secretary, Director, and Additional Executive Officer. He holds a Diploma in Management, a postgraduate degree in Political Science, and a graduate degree in Economics.
