S Dayashankar, born on July 1, 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1997 batch, Karnataka cadre. He served in various capacities including Member Director, Joint Secretary, Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. His most recent position was Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Director at Bangalore, Karnataka, from January 1, 2010, to November 26, 2012. He was associated with the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department during his service.
