S D Thombre, born on April 16, 1943, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1991 batch of the Maharashtra cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Assistant Professor and Municipal Commissioner. His most recent designation was Joint Director in the Human Resources Department of Maharashtra. Throughout his career, Thombre contributed to the administrative framework of the state until his retirement.
