S D Ojha, born on December 6, 1937, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a Ph.D. in Sanskrit, along with graduate degrees in Sanskrit and Law. Throughout his career, Ojha served in various capacities including Junior Scale, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Director, Joint Secretary, Director, Secretary, and Joint Secretary. His most recent position was District Collector and Magistrate from July 1, 1991, to December 31, 1995. Ojha’s extensive service reflects his long-standing commitment to administrative roles within the Indian government.
