S Ayyappan Nair, born on April 7, 1942, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Kerala cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Administrator. His most recent position was Labour Commissioner in the Department of Labour and Employment, from January 1, 2001, to April 30, 2002. Throughout his career, he contributed to the administrative framework of Kerala before retiring from service.
