Roopwant Singh, an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2003 batch from the Gujarat cadre, was born on March 5, 1978. He holds a B.A. (Hons) in Political Science, History, and Economics, and an M.A. in Political Science from Punjab University. Throughout his career, he has served in various capacities including Commissioner, Additional Secretary, Managing Director, Director, District Collector, District Development Officer, and Assistant Collector. Since April 1, 2023, he has been serving as the Managing Director at Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd in Ahmedabad. He is proficient in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Gujarati.
