Robert L. Chongthu, born on 29 June 1974, is a 1997 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre. He holds an M.A. in English and is proficient in Hindi and Mizo. Over his career, he has served in various capacities including Sub-Divisional Officer, Divisional Commissioner, Secretary, Commissioner, Private Secretary, Deputy Secretary, District Magistrate, District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Development Commissioner, and Under Secretary. Since 7 December 2020, he has been serving as the Principal Secretary to the Governor of Bihar. He continues to be in service in the Indian Administrative Service.
