Reena Venkataraman, born on January 5, 1957, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 batch, West Bengal cadre. She holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in History and a B.Ed. in Education. Throughout her career, she served in various capacities including District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Special Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Additional Chief Secretary. Her most recent position was Secretary in the Food-Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department from December 23, 2016, to January 31, 2017. Her extensive administrative experience spans multiple senior roles across departments in the West Bengal government.
