Ravi Kant, born on November 1, 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics and a graduate degree in Civil Engineering. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Managing Director, Special Secretary, Member Secretary, Joint Secretary, Director, District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Additional Executive Officer, and Sub Divisional Officer. His most recent position was Labour Commissioner from September 1, 2005, to June 30, 2006.
