Rashmi Arun Shami, born on 10 December 1969, is a 1994 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. She holds a postgraduate degree in History from Lucknow University and a PG Diploma in Public Policy from IIM Bangalore. Currently serving as Principal Secretary & Special Commissioner (Coordination) in the Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, New Delhi since 2 July 2024, she has held various positions including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner & Director, Managing Director, District Collector, and Deputy Secretary. She is proficient in English and Hindi.
