Ranjit Kumar, an IAS officer of the 2008 Maharashtra cadre, was born on August 12, 1978. He holds a B.Sc. from Mumbai University and an M.A. from IGNOU Delhi. Throughout his career, he has served in various capacities including Director, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, District Collector, Chief Executive Officer, and Assistant Collector. He received the Best Collector award and the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration for 2013-14. Currently, he is on Ex-India Study Leave at Yale University, USA, starting August 2, 2024. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
