Ramesh Lal, born on 15 May 1951, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1995 batch of the Bihar cadre. During his career, he held several key positions including Inspector General, District Collector and Magistrate, District Magistrate, Director, and Director General. His most recent appointment was as Inspector General in the Department of Home from 18 January 2011 to 31 May 2011. Throughout his service, he contributed to various administrative roles within the Bihar cadre before retiring from the IAS.
