Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Additional Secretary, Managing Director, Secretary, and Principal Secretary. His most recent position was Principal Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Maritime Board from 14 December 2012 to 30 November 2014. Khanna's extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership roles within the Tamil Nadu government, contributing to diverse departments and initiatives during his tenure.
