Ramesh Kumar Ganta, a 1993 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre, was born on September 1, 1963. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Electronics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary to Government, Advisor and Joint Secretary, Chairman and Managing Director, Secretary, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, and Deputy Commissioner, among others. His most recent position was Secretary from January 1, 2023, to August 31, 2023. Mr. Ganta has retired from the Indian Administrative Service after a distinguished tenure spanning multiple administrative roles.
