Ramesh Abhishek, born on July 3, 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 Bihar cadre. He served as Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade from February 12, 2016, to July 31, 2019. His educational background includes postgraduate studies in Politics and Public Administration, as well as a graduate degree in Physics from Harvard University. Throughout his career, he held various positions such as Secretary, Chairman, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, District Collector and Magistrate, Transport Commissioner, and Managing Director, among others.
