Rama Prasad Samaddar, born on June 3, 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 batch, West Bengal cadre. A graduate in Physics, he served in various capacities including Special Secretary, Chairman, Joint Secretary, Director, Member Secretary, and Additional Executive Officer. His most recent position was Additional Chief Executive Officer in the Power Department from January 28, 2003, to June 30, 2006. Throughout his career, he contributed to multiple administrative roles within the government before retiring from service.
