Ram Murti Bassi, born on January 13, 1937, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch, Punjab cadre. He holds graduate degrees in Law and English, along with a postgraduate degree in English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Deputy Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Joint Director, and Secretary. His most recent position was Additional Secretary in the Finance Department from June 1, 1994, to January 1, 1995. Mr. Bassi's extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Indian government.
