Rakesh Verma, born on 30 August 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Rajasthan cadre. He holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Additional Director General, Commissioner, Chairman & Managing Director, Secretary, Member, Director, Special Secretary, Managing Director, Deputy Secretary, District Collector and District Magistrate, Director (Administration), Additional Collector (Development), and Sub-Divisional Officer. His most recent position was Principal Secretary at Jaipur, Rajasthan, starting from 5 October 2011. He was also associated with the Cabinet Secretariat during his service.
