Rakesh Singh, born on 20 May 1964, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 Karnataka cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Mathematics and a postgraduate degree in Psychology. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, Officer on Special Duty to Minister, Secretary to Chief Minister, Joint Secretary, and Managing Director. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary in the Urban Development department, appointed on 24 August 2021. Singh's extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership roles within the state government.
