Rakesh Sharma, born on October 11, 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Uttarakhand cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree and a graduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Executive Magistrate, General Manager, Commissioner, Secretary, Managing Director, Special Secretary, and Chief Executive Officer. His most recent position was Principal Secretary in the Industrial Development Department from October 8, 2011, to October 31, 2015. Mr. Sharma’s extensive experience spans multiple administrative and leadership roles within the state government.
