Rakesh Kumar Verma, born on 25 April 1971, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1993 Punjab cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science. Currently, he serves as the City Magistrate at Bareilly District, Uttar Pradesh, a position he assumed on 2 February 2026. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Secretary, Commissioner-cum-Director, Vice Chancellor, Chairman, Chief Administrator, Managing Director, Director, Deputy Commissioner, and Sub Divisional Officer (Civil). He is proficient in English and Hindi and remains in active service.
