Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, born on January 19, 1987, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2012 batch, serving in the Himachal Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.E. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from The Birla Institute of Technology and Science. Currently, he is the Director at Energy-HP, Shimla, a position he has held since October 9, 2024. His previous roles include Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Officer, Assistant Commissioner, and Block Development Officer. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the administrative capacity within the state government.
