Rakesh Kumar K, born on October 3, 1983, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2012 batch, Karnataka cadre. He holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, and an M.Sc. in Agriculture from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute. Currently, he serves as the Commissioner at Bengaluru in the Social Welfare Department since April 18, 2022. Previously, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer. Rakesh Kumar is proficient in English and Kannada and continues to serve in the IAS.
