Rakesh Gupta, born on 08/10/1972, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1997 Haryana cadre. Currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi since 31/12/2025, he holds a B.Tech. degree. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Administrative Secretary, Director General, State Project Director, Additional Principal Secretary, Secretary, Mission Director, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, ADC cum CEO, Additional Deputy, and Sub Divisional Officer. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Rakesh Gupta continues to serve in the IAS.
