Rajesh Sharma, born on 21 February 1966, is a retired IAS officer of the 2008 Himachal Pradesh cadre. He served as Secretary at Himachal Pradesh from November 2023 to February 2026 and was associated with the State Human Rights Commission. His past roles include Secretary to Governor, Director & Special Secretary, Chief Electoral Officer, and Director. He holds an M.A. and LL.M. from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, and a PG Diploma in Journalism from IGNOU. Sharma received multiple awards, including Poshan Abhiyan awards for excellence in capacity building and implementation, the Skoch Governance Bronze award, and a University Grants Commission award for administration excellence.
