Currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles department since 7 March 2026, Pandey has held various positions including Assistant Magistrate, Principal Secretary, Chairman and Managing Director, Secretary, Electoral District Officer, Commissioner, District Magistrate, and others. He is proficient in Bengali, English, Hindi, and Nepalese. He continues to serve in the IAS.
