Rajat Bhargava, born on 16 August 1964, is a 1990 batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Physics, a postgraduate degree in Geology, and a Ph.D. in Geology from Andhra University. Currently, he serves as the Special Chief Secretary at Velagapudi in the Revenue Department since 29 April 2023. His extensive career includes roles such as Excise Commissioner, MD & CEO, Principal Secretary to Government, Special Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Resident Commissioner, and District Collector and Magistrate. He is proficient in Bengali, English, German, Hindi, and Telugu. Rajat Bhargava remains in active service.
