Raj Bala Verma, born on February 5, 1958, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Jharkhand cadre. She holds a graduate degree in Pharmacy and a postgraduate degree in Biology. Throughout her career, she served in various capacities including Sub-Divisional Officer, Additional District Magistrate, Deputy Development Commissioner, Registrar, Commissioner, Managing Director, Food Commissioner, and Principal Secretary. She was also the State Project Director and held multiple Secretary-level positions. Her most recent role was Chief Secretary to the Government in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department from April 1, 2016, to February 28, 2018.
