Rahul Singh, born on 15 August 1971, is a 1996 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science and a postgraduate degree in Public Policy & Management. Currently, he serves as the Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) under the Ministry of Education, New Delhi, from 26 March 2024 to 11 November 2025. His extensive career includes roles such as Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, Secretary, Project Director, Transport Commissioner, Director, District Collector, District Magistrate, and Sub Divisional Officer. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
