Rahul Bhandari, born on 13 September 1973, is a 1997 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.E. and an M.A. degree. Currently serving as Principal Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries since 23 September 2024, he has held various positions including Principal Resident Commissioner, Managing Director, Secretary, Executive Director, Special Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, and Resident Commissioner. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, Rahul Bhandari continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service with extensive experience across multiple administrative roles.
