Rachana Patil, born on 17 August 1981, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2010 Bihar cadre. She holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering and an M.A. in Sociology. Currently, she serves as Secretary at Bihar’s Finance Department (Expenditure) since 5 August 2025. Throughout her career, she has held various positions including Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Additional Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, Director, District Development Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Officer, Assistant Collector and Magistrate, and Special Secretary. She is proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi. Rachana Patil continues to serve in the IAS.
