R Vimala, born on 16 June 1978, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2010 batch, West Bengal cadre. She holds a B.Sc. degree from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Currently, she serves as the Managing Director of The West Bengal Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd (WBSIDC) since 7 March 2026. Throughout her career, she has held various positions including Additional District Magistrate, District Magistrate, State Project Director, Assistant Magistrate, Chief Executive Officer, Executive Magistrate, and DM & Collector. She is proficient in English and Tamil and continues to serve in the IAS.
