R Vimala, born on 16 June 1978, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2010 batch from the West Bengal cadre. She holds a B.Sc. degree from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Currently, she serves as the Administrator of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, West Bengal, a position she has held since 23 June 2026. Throughout her career, she has held various roles including Secretary, Managing Director, District Magistrate and Collector, Additional District Magistrate, Chief Executive Officer, Executive Magistrate, Assistant Magistrate, and State Project Director. She is proficient in English and Tamil. R Vimala continues to serve in the IAS.
