R Selvam, born on July 1, 1971, is a 2001 batch IAS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre. He holds an M.Sc. degree from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director at the Leather Export Authority of India Ltd, Chennai, a position he has held since April 9, 2018. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including Commissioner, Director, Registrar, Special Secretary, Private Secretary, Joint Director General, and Sub-Divisional Officer.
