R S Vaghela, born on 27 August 1943, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Gujarat cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, Vaghela served in various capacities including District Collector, Private Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Director, Additional Development Commissioner, and Commissioner (Housing). His most recent position was Special Commissioner at Gujarat from 1 November 2001 to 31 August 2003. He was also associated with the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd (SSNNL) department. Vaghela’s extensive administrative experience reflects his long-standing service in the Indian Administrative Service.
