R S Shukla, born on April 4, 1961, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1986 West Bengal cadre. He holds a Graduate degree, M.Phil., and P.G. qualification in English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, Deputy Chairman, Commissioner, Special Secretary, and multiple Principal Secretary roles. His most recent position was Secretary in the Parliamentary Affairs Department, New Delhi, from August 1, 2019, to April 30, 2021. Other roles held include Additional Chief Secretary, Joint Secretary, Project Director, and Officer on Special Duty.
