R S Gupta, born on February 9, 1954, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2000 batch of the Himachal Pradesh cadre. Throughout his career, he held various positions including Resident Commissioner, Commissioner, Special Secretary, Director, Chairman, and Deputy Commissioner. His most recent role was Special Secretary at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, serving from July 5, 2013, to February 28, 2014. He was associated with the Training Department during his service. Mr. Gupta’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple key roles within the Himachal Pradesh government.
