R S Gathala, born on June 11, 1948, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Rajasthan cadre. A graduate by education, he has held multiple key positions throughout his career, including Commissioner, Secretary, District Collector and District Magistrate, OSD to Minister, Executive Director, and Deputy Secretary. His most recent designation was On Compulsory Wait from May 1, 2008, to June 30, 2008. Throughout his service, he contributed to various administrative roles within the Rajasthan cadre before retiring from the IAS.
