R Palaniyandi, born on May 5, 1950, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1998 batch, Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a graduate degree and has served in various administrative roles including Sub Collector and District Collector. His most recent position was Joint Secretary in the Public Department from May 27, 2009, to May 31, 2010. Throughout his career, he contributed to the administrative framework of Tamil Nadu before retiring from service.
