R P Srivastava, a 1983 batch IAS officer from the Madhya Pradesh cadre, was born on June 4, 1941. He holds a graduate degree in Chemistry and a postgraduate degree in Sociology. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, Director, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary. His most recent position was Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Minister in Madhya Pradesh from October 16, 2000, to June 30, 2001. He was associated with the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) and is now retired from the Indian Administrative Service.
