R Menaka, born on 20 August 1982, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2011 batch, assigned to the A G M U T cadre. She holds an M.Phil. in Law & Governance from Jawaharlal Nehru University, a B.A. in Economics, and an M.A. in Public Management & Policy from the University of Madras. Currently, she serves as Director in the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India, effective from 1 January 2025. Her previous roles include Deputy Secretary, Special Secretary, District Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, Director, Secretary, Assistant Commissioner, and Assistant Collector. She is proficient in English and Tamil.
