R Meenakshi Sundaram, born on 21 May 1973, is a 2001 batch IAS officer of the Uttarakhand cadre. He holds degrees in B.V.Sc. & A.H. and M.V.Sc. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary of the New and Renewable Energy Department, Uttarakhand, since 17 January 2026. Throughout his career, he has held numerous positions including Secretary, Additional Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Secretary to Chief Minister, Commissioner, Managing Director, District Magistrate, Director General, Vice Chairman, Chief Development Officer, and Joint Magistrate. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Tamil and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
