R Kasinathan, born on March 10, 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds postgraduate qualifications in Economics, along with graduate degrees in Law and English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Inspector General, District Collector, Director, Secretary, Public Relation Officer, Chief Executive, District Revenue Officer, and Managing Director. His most recent role was Commissioner and Director in the Art and Culture Department from June 1, 2001, to March 31, 2006. His extensive experience spans multiple administrative and leadership positions within the Tamil Nadu government.
