R K Shah, born on August 5, 1938, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1974 batch of the Gujarat cadre. A graduate in Commerce, he served in various capacities including Deputy Collector, Deputy Director, District Development Officer, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner, and Secretary to the Chief Minister. His most recent role was Managing Director in the Industries and Commerce Department, Gujarat, from May 1, 1994, to August 31, 1996. Throughout his career, Shah contributed to multiple administrative functions within the Gujarat government until his retirement.
