R. Gajalakshmi, born on February 1, 1966, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2009 batch, Tamil Nadu cadre. She holds an M.Sc. degree and has served as Managing Director. Currently, she is the Commissioner at Tamil Nadu in the Transport and Road Safety department, a position she has held since August 1, 2025. She continues to serve in the IAS, contributing to the administration of Tamil Nadu.
