R Binchilo Thong, born on 24 December 1963, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch, Nagaland cadre. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and a postgraduate degree in Sociology. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner & Secretary, Principal Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, and Chief Secretary to the Government. From 23 January 2019, he was the Director of the Netaji Subhas Administrative Training Institute. His extensive experience spans multiple senior administrative roles within the Nagaland government.
