Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Municipal Commissioner, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Managing Director. He also held senior roles such as Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, and special Secretary. His most recent position was Chief Secretary to the Government of Gujarat in the General Administration Department (Personnel) from 1 August 1993 to 1 June 1995.
