R Appa Rao, born on April 5, 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1996 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate degree and served in various capacities including Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, Joint Executive Officer, and CEO. His most recent position was Deputy Commissioner in the Commercial Taxes Department from January 1, 2005, to April 30, 2006. Throughout his career, he contributed to the administrative functions within his cadre until his retirement.
