Dr. R. Anandakumar, born on September 6, 1975, is a 2003 batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree and is proficient in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Currently, he serves as the Managing Director at CO-Optex, Chennai, a position he assumed on August 23, 2023. Throughout his career, he has held various key roles including Secretary to Government, Additional Secretary, Executive Director, Joint Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, District Collector, Additional Collector, Special Collector, and Executive Magistrate. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
